## PRIME NUMBERS

Prime numbers are the ones which are divisible by 1 and itself. They are associated with factors/multiples of numbers. Every number has minimum 2 factors i.e 1 and the number. All other numbers which are not prime are composite numbers.

*Examples :- *

* 2 has factors 1 and 2*

*Another – 5 has factors 1 and 5*

### Definition : –

All the numbers which has only two factors are called prime numbers . The numbers other than prime numbers are composite numbers. In other words any number which has more than 2 factors are composite numbers.

**Remember that 1 is neither prime nor composite number**

**2 is the smallest prime number which is even and rest are all odd.**
